Millwork with light built in. Diffused gradient panels set into alcoves, headboards, niches and wall grids, tuned from warm evening amber to soft daylight white.

A New York living room: white walls, a television on a bracket, a bookcase, a console spilling cables, two lamps. We panelled the long wall in walnut, with storage to the ceiling, and set the television into smoked glass. A lit niche sits over a banquette by the table, window seats cover the air conditioning, and the light now comes from the edge of the ceiling.

Two disciplines, one wall

Together they turn a space into a place. Everything is there, nothing is in the way, and the room has a feeling of its own.

Materials

We name materials, not moods.

Rift and quarter-sawn white oak, fumed oak, walnut, smoked eucalyptus. Matte lacquer in any colour. Honed marble, travertine and large-format porcelain. Bronze and blackened steel. For light: backlit fabric, translucent onyx, reeded and fluted glass.
